Alì Al Jabiri

Oriental art is the most ancient art in the world; it is important for an artist to study it, in different versions - egyptian, sumeric or babylonian - so to get an artistic awareness.

In my paintings, line is simple, linear, form has an oriental turn of thought as it is possible to see in those round and languishing-eyed woman faces: it is a typical expression in both sumerian or babylonian women.

Colours are warm and remindful of desert sands ... tones are bright, writings remind us of desert pages and even of Koran pages.
